11-8-17 What's missing from the Penguins' game?

posted by Savran on Sports -

Despite the win last night, the Penguins start has been, shall we say, moderately successful. It's not time to sound the alarm, certainly, but who, or what, is missing from their game?

The tragic death of Roy Halladay has everyone in sports reeling, and it also brings back some difficult memories of the deaths of other sports figures who died way too soon. Clemente, Badger Bob, Thurman Munson, Mike Webster. If you care to, share your memories when you first heard of the death of a sports hero.

Guy Junker and I will discuss these issues today from 12-1 #StanandGuy #LovetheShow.

Plus, we'll talk about whether the Pirates should start a re-build this off season. That might include trading Andrew McCutchen and/or Gerrit Cole. I know many of you will say you can't trust Neal Huntington to get a good return, but let's just talk about the merits of a re-build at this point.

Also today, ESPN ranks the Steelers 3rd in their NFL power rankings. And their recent record coming off the bye week is not good. Gerry Dulac will join me at 1:30.
