Mike Geiger, CEO, Moe's Southwest Grill

Mike Geiger and business partner John Iaquinta wanted to start a different kind of company in 2005 when they founded Big Plan Group and opened their first franchised Moe's Southwest Grill location in Cranberry Township. The goal has always been to serve amazing Southwest-inspired food in a welcoming environment coupled with a true sense of community and appreciation of their guests. The foundation of the business is an acknowledgment that success is only achieved as a result of their community's support of the business. As such, they believe it is the obligation of the business to give back to the communities they serve.

That approach has enabled them to survive the unprecedented challenges of 2020 as they operate 11 Moe's locations in the Pittsburgh and Erie markets and continue to offer unique incentives to their 250+ employees. They have re-launched their one-of-a-kind community support program at: welcometogivingback.com - where local organizations can raise funds by selling Taco Kits, apply for grants to advance specific goals, or choose from a series of other options based on community and organizational needs.

Who knew that Great Burritos and world Famous Queso could ultimately make the Pittsburgh region a better place to live? They did.
