The Pens went into the weekend winners of two in a row and they thought they were back on track. Now, they’re looking for answers as losers of two straight by a combined score of 11-4.
The standings are tight, the Stanley Cup Playoffs draw closer, and the Pens are playing their worst hockey of the year. They’ve got a lot of problems right now and don’t look like a contender. Not even close. However, this season’s been about the Penguins surprising us when we’ve counted them out.
Was it over when the German’s bombed Pearl Harbor?!
How about when Crosby went down? Geno? Two of their top-three defensemen? They battled through all of that.
Things look bleak right now, but I won't count the Penguins out until there's no hockey left on the schedule. Given the way things have gone this year, and what they've overcome, they've earned that.
