The Pens are in the midst of a season-long six game losing streak. There aren't a lot of positives to be found.
Here's one: apart from the Flyers, the entire division is in a little bit of a slide.
The Penguins trail the Capitals by six points, but have a game in hand. The Caps are just 4-5-1 in their last 10 games. They aren't setting the world on fire.
The Isles trail the Pens by two points in the race for third place in the division. They've won just three of their past 10.
The Jackets are 2-4-4 in the past 10 contests.
The Canes have lost three straight and are 4-4-2 over the last 10 games.
The Capitals aren't running and hiding, and the other competition seems to be floundering just as much as the Penguins. It's not like Pittsburgh is going to pull a Mayor Pete and drop out of the race. They can find their game.
