New Pirates' centerfielder Jarrod Dyson was asked why he signed with Pittsburgh. His response was, well, incredibly honest.
"Ain’t too much out there right now. You would love to explore, but at the same time, you have to take what you can, take the good with the bad and roll with it. Make the most of it."

Pirates fans sure do know a lot about "taking the good with the bad."
I've been on this Earth for 29 years. I've seen only really seen the Pirates make the playoffs three times. Two of those occasions ended in one-and-done postseason appearances. None of those seasons ended in the Pirates winning a series.
This offseason, Starling Marte was traded away. Projections have the team finishing dead last in the NL Central.
I think Pirates fans are as excited about the start of the season as Dyson is about being a member of the team.
