According to the Sporting News, the Steelers approached the XFL to see if they could sign former Pittsburgh QB Landry Jones. They were denied.
Had they not been, we may have never seen Devlin Hodges start a game for the Steelers.
Whatâs funny is that I think Landry could have done exactly the same thing as Hodges. Come in and managed the game.
In fact, the Steelers probably would have had more faith in him. He threw for 277 yards and 281 yards in games in 2015. He chucked it 47 times and 37 times respectively.
Duck has thrown it at most 21 times. Funny how theyâve changed their philosophy with backup QBâs. Or maybe it just depends on the guy.
Would the Steelers be where they are with Landry Jones?
I think they could. BUT, I'm happy theyâve got the Duck. Itâs more fun. Positivity! Let the duck chuck!
