The Steelers are still in the thick of the AFC Wild Card race

The Steelers currently occupy the 8 seed in the AFC Playoffs. That tells you there will need to be a lot of scoreboard watching the rest of the way.

I still think their chances of getting in are pretty good.

Consider that the current number 5 seed has to play the Broncos, Cowboys, Ravens, Steelers, and Patriots over the next five weeks. OUCH.

If the Steelers take care of business AT HOME against Buffalo. That's a big step towards getting in.

The Texans and Colts play tomorrow night in Houston. The loser will be 6-5. If it's the Colts, the Steelers own the head-to-head tiebreaker. That's the same record as the Steelers if they're able to beat the lowly Bengals on Sunday.

The team to watch out for is the Oakland Raiders? Here's why I think they're vulnerable: They're 1-3 on the road and play four of their final seven games away from Oakland including one at Arrowhead Stadium. In my opinion, games against the Titans, Jags, Chargers, and Broncos are all coin flips.

So rejoice, Steelers fans, your team still has a chance. There's going to be some carnage along the way.

First things first, though: Beat the Bengals on Sunday.
