The Steelers defense has sacked the quarterback 34 times this year and taken the football away 26 times. That's dominating stuff.
The Steelers didn't dominate on Thursday against the Browns, but the defense played well. Well, that's not good enough.
They gave up just 293 yards and 21 points. Hell, they had only given up 14 points until Mason Rudolph gift-wrapped a touchdown for the Browns with about 6:30 to go in the football game.
With Mason Rudolph leading the feeble offense, the Steelers won't make the postseason unless the defense is truly great. That means more sack-fumble's from T.J. Watt. That means more INT's from Minkah Fitzpatrick. More splash plays.
If those things don't happen, and happen a lot, the Steelers will be sitting at home in January. The defense was good on Thursday. With this Steelers offense, only great will do.
