Mike Tomlin has his warts. Not the kind that I imagine Robert Kraft has, but nonetheless, Mike Tomlin has flaws.
You know what he always does, though? Win.
The Steelers have never had a losing season under Mike Tomlin. They've never quit on their coach. This year, without Ben Roethlisberger, they're still squarely in the playoff hunt at 4-4.
In fact, they're actually 4-2 in games that Roethlisberger doesn't start. The coach deserves credit.
Most people in the media and in the fanbase proclaimed that the team was done at 1-4. For good reason. THEY WERE 1-4!
Now, the Steelers have rattled off three straight and are hanging around. They could have folded up shop. They could have used the injuries as an excuse and quit. Nope. The standard is the standard. Or so I've been told.
If the team makes the playoffs it will have been a great season. If not, thank Mike Tomlin for keeping the Steelers relevant this fall.
