Evgeni Malkin had a bad year. He had 21 goals, was a minus-25 and also racked up 89 penalty minutes. This has led to a lot of trade speculation.
Malkin is unfazed by the speculation, though offered a fair assessment of his season.
Nailed it. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Done. Now Evgeni Malkin has to do something about it. Rob Rossi was on the Crowley Show yesterday and said it's easier to work on flaws in a players game during the offseason. I think it's a great point. Maybe Malkin will have a good world championships and perhaps that will give him confidence.
The fastest way for the Penguins to get back to contender for championships is to get Malkin back to his 2018 form.
It sounds like he gets it. Now do something about it.
