Barry Trotz is a good coach. He's the 4th winningest regular season coach of all time. Still, I'd rather have Mike Sullivan behind my bench.
Mike Sullivan's Penguins are 9-1 in playoff series. His team's .603 winning percentage in the playoffs is good for 12th all time and first among active coaches.
As the coach of the Nashville Predators, Trotz was never able to make it out of the second round of the playoffs. Last year, his team won the Stanley Cup. Again, he's a good coach.
BUT, his New York team doesn't have the fire power or game breaking talent that his Washington teams had.
In fact, you should be calling them the New York Predators. They can defend. They have some scoring depth. But they don't have the star power to keep up with these Pittsburgh Penguins. We know what Trotz does with this kind of talent: He gets to the playoffs and loses. He will again.
