The NFL has adopted a policy where pass interference penalties can be reviewed. If a coach thinks PI should have been called, they can review that too. Pass interference plays will now be subject to booth reviews in the final two minutes of a half or a game.
NFL games are going to take forever. I'll still watch, but it won't be as enjoyable. I love the NCAA tournament. I still watch, but the last 2 minutes are brought to a complete halt at times by refs going to the monitor. I don't care about fairness. I care about entertainment.
The human element doesn't get taken out of it. Robots aren't looking at the damn replays. They still don't get it right. I have no idea if ball hit Edelman's hand in AFC Championship game or if the ball hit rim in Duke game on Sunday.
But, if you're going to make PI reviewable, why not literally everything else? I think replay slows the game down too much. Too many rules in football. But, if you're doing it why go half measure?
