Tonight, the Penguins and Flyers will be playing outside. I get why the NHL does this. It's jersey sales, and national tv time, and yada yada yada.
It's a spectacle. Players seem to enjoy it. I like watching on TV. It ain't fair, though, that two teams in the midst of a playoff race have to play on a terrible ice surface. Here's a list of contingencies if the weather becomes a problem:
The Penguins are up by 1 point on the Carolina Hurricanes in the playoff race. Having a game of this magnitude decided after 2 periods is absurd.
It's all absurd.
There's 1/4th of the season left. Every possible point is precious. Tonight, weather could effect the outcome.
