Let me first get this out of the way: I'm a bigger Penguins fan than you. I want to see the Penguins do well. When I was a kid, I used to run upstairs and recount Mike Lange's most recent goal call to my parents.
As a Pens fan, I want to see Phil Kessel do well. Period. As a Pens fan, I can't thank Phil enough for helping this organization win back-to-back Stanley Cup championships.
That's all in the past, though. If Phil doesn't score, he doesn't help the team win. He's gone 11 straight games without a goal, and last night was brutal.
It's okay to understand that Phil Kessel has done a bunch to help the organization win. It's also okay to criticize him when his play isn't up to par. Right now it's not.
