I don't need baseball hall voters to tell me who's good

Barry Bonds was, once again, not elected into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. There has been OUTRAGE! To an extent, I get the outrage.

Barry Bonds is the greatest baseball player to have ever lived. If he’s not in the hall of fame, the hall of fame doesn’t have any credibility. My question is this: Why do you put credibility in a bunch of crusty old men, anyhow?

I know Pete Rose was good, whether or not he’s in. I know Dave Parker was good, whether or not he’s in. I saw Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire save baseball in the 1990’s. The Baseball Writers Association of America voters can’t take that from me.

I’m sure it means a lot to players to get inducted, but fans know who is deserving and who is not. I don’t need a group of old men with an agenda to tell me who was good at baseball.
