The Philadelphia Flyers earned a 1-seed in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They're a pretty good hockey team. This is their best shot to make some noise in a while.
Philly hasn't won a playoff series since 2012. They haven't won the cup since 1975. I'm not sure either of those things has much to do with what happened last night, but I wanted to include them anyhow.
Yesterday, the Flyers lost to the Canadiens and Montreal forced a game six. Cool. Philadelphia responded to the adversity the way that that they always seem to. With goonery.
Former Penguin Matt Niskanen just earned his jump wings as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Niskanen was pretty good in Pittsburgh. I was always annoyed that he seemed to think he won anything. He wasn't a part of the 09' club, but he always talked like he was. I digress. This was a chicken sh*t move, much like his cross check to the back of Sidney Crosby's head in 2017.
It didn't stop there for the "Broad Street Bullies."

It's a rarity in the Crosby/Malkin era, but the Flyers are playing while the Penguins are sitting at home. At least Pens fans have something to root for.
Montreal, the Islanders, Boston/Tampa. I don't care who knocks Philly out. I just want to see them knocked out.
