Daily Allegheny County COVID-19 Update - May 13th

The Pennsylvania Dept. of Health shared updated COVID-19 numbers for the state. As of this morning, there are an additional 707 positive cases. That brings the total count in PA to 58,698. There have been 3,943 deaths statewide. 244,171 patients have bested negative. You can see the updated statewide map, HERE.

Allegheny County Health Department released their daily update for COVID-19 cases in the area.

As of this morning, there are 19 new cases in the county with a total of 1,545 cases (confirmed or probable). 285 of those cases (past or present) have required hospitalization. Out of those 285, one-hundred-seventeen have been admitted to the ICU with sixty-seven requiring the use of a ventilator. There have been one-hundred-thirty-nine deaths. 22,075 test have been administered.

Breakdown of cases by age group:

  • 0-9 years: 8
  • 10-19 years: 21
  • 20-29 years: 223
  • 30-39 years: 194
  • 40-49 years: 199
  • 50-59 years: 287
  • 60-69 years: 263
  • 70+ years: 350

Breakdown of cases by gender:

  • Female: 54%
  • Male: 46%
