Watch Kevin Durant Invoke Mercy Rule on Behalf of Washington Wizards

Kevin Durant was so bored with the level of competition posted by the Washington Wizards Wednesday night that he asked to be taken out of the game early in the fourth quarter.

Washington called a timeout after Durant sailed in for an uncontested dunk at the 9:23 mark, making the score 122 - 90.

Video of Durant walking to the bench appears to show him saying, "Sub me out. I don't wanna play no more, man."

After pausing, the two-time NBA Finals MVP appeared to add, "Weak."

Durant's running-mate Stephen Curry didn't play at all in the fourth quarter having dropped 51 points on 15 - 24 FG attempts that included 11 - 16 threes.

Durant didn't play again in the game, as Golden State's bench unit finished the job 144 - 122. He finished with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

It's possible Durant knew he was coming out of the game anyway and was just talking trash to the Wizards. The Warriors are about to head east for a three-game road trip, and Coach Steve Kerr is cautious about resting his stars whenever possible.

The Slim Reaper's trash talk will come off as ironic to some; Durant has spent much of the last two years defending his decision to join the Warriors, creating a seemingly insurmountable talent gap between his team and the rest of the league.
