Le'Veon Bell has had his problems, but at least he's not Josh Gordon. Browns Wide Receiver Josh Gordon is not going to be with the Browns at the start of training camp. I won't get into speculation as to why the gifted WR won't be there, but we know that Gordon has dealt with addiction problems and has been suspended multiple times by the National Football League.
Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell has been suspended twice for drug related off the field issues, but I don't look at him the same way that I look at a guy like Gordon or Martavis Bryant.
Bell has been ripped by media and fans alike since he turned down a reported 5-year deal. But I think we need to keep things in perspective here. Bell has been one of the most productive backs in football over the course of his NFL career. When he's been healthy in the playoffs, he's been an absolute monster.
While Le'Veon was racking up statistics, Gordon was out of the league. He didn't play a single snap in 2015 or 2016.
You may have a problem with the way that Bell has conducted himself on and off the field, but it could always be worse. Just ask a Browns fan.
