Tom Brady Limited In Practice With Injury To Throwing Hand

Are the New England Patriots in trouble heading into their AFC Title game against Jacksonville on Sunday? Probably not, but the latest injury report does have some bad news. 40-year-old quarterback Tom Brady was listed as limited due to a right-hand injury. According to Boston.com, Brady was seen flexing his hand during limited snaps at practice on Wednesday, but he "didn’t seem hampered in any way" while he was in the field.

Brady also skipped a scheduled press conference to meet with the medical staff, raising alarm bells with fans that his injury might be more serious than the team is leading on. But, the local media doesn't seem overly concerned with the injury.

While many speculated what happened, Karen Guregia from the Boston Herald was able to get details from the tight-lipped team:

Tom Brady jammed his throwing hand at practice after accidentally being run into, according to a source. X-rays showed no structural damage.

The Boston Globe reports that Brady also cut his hand during the collision, and could miss practice on Thursday.

Barring any setbacks, Brady is expected to start on Sunday.

Brady is scheduled to meet with the media on Thursday afternoon.
